Yesterday I read an article in WSJ about Toms Shoes and their “One for One” campaign.
The shoes aren’t exactly what I would normally feature on ShoeSeen.com but the message is strong and the cause is good. For every pair of shoes the brand sells, they donate a pair to a child in need- “One for One”. You’ve probably seen the Toms CEO Blake Mycoskie on the AT&T commercial at one of their “shoe drops” in Guatemala. He’s the man behind the idea to create a company that gives as much as it makes. As I said before the shoes aren’t exactly luxurious pieces of art, but they’re totally cute and comfortable, so next time you’re in the market for a pair of cute sneakers, give them a try and help make a difference in a childs life.
