As you may know, ShoeSeen.com is hard at work covering the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and witnessing the unveiling of what will be Spring’s hottest new looks.  Here’s a photo from the Farah Angsana fashion installation at The Royalton Hotel.

The godess looks of these three gowns are spectacular. Very feminine and chic but not too over the top.  The bright colors are classic Spring looks but work well year round.  The attention to detail on these gowns is amazing especially the mirrored embroideries, and the selection of sweethear, halter and strapless cuts means there’s something flattering for evey woman.

Let us know what you think of Farah Angsana’s collection

This was my favorite piece from the collection- ‘Lara’: Platinum silk short puffed sleeve with wide Chinese collar jacket with cigarette pant.

I love the versatility of pants and jacket suits because you immediately have two items that can be used with what you already have in your closet. This jacket, for instance, can easily be paired with a simple black dress or pencil skirt for a special office affair. While the splendid pants can go with any top  for a special occasion or everyday office wear.

 Jimmy choo shoes

Yesterday hundreds of women lined up for hours to take advantage of up to 70% discounts on Jimmy Choo shoes.  ShoeSeen.com was there to check-out what women were wearing and to do a little shopping ;)   There were plenty of pumps, sandals, boots and handbags for the lucky ones who could find their size and the discounts were large. The shoes started at $210 and went up to about $400 for the boots.  The selection of handbags was a little small but the discounts were also pretty good.  All in all it was a great day for shoe lovers.

Alright people, what do you think of these tall gladiators?  They were first introduced in 2007 but the look didn’t really take off.  Actually Mary-Kate Olsen loves them and was seen sporting the look early on, but she might have been the only one to buy a pair, or two.  These Chanel sandals were going for over $1000, but there have been some knock-offs for under $100. This look is a little too “look-at-me” and I wouldn’t feel comfortable walking down the street in them, but I do like how Mary-Kate wears them.

dolce-vita-snake-cage-booties1Last week I walked into one of the best shoe sales ever at Lord & Taylor and couldn’t help myself.  I went crazy in there but finally settled for two sexy pairs of booties.  One pair (Boutique 9 lace-up pumps) is featured on the Rags to Riches page so I wanted to share this pair on the blog.  I fell in love with these cage booties from Dolce Vita the minute I saw them.   I just think they’re hot and I was surprised at how comfortable they are.  The bootie is one of the hottest shoes of the Fall so I feel covered on all trends with these cage boots and the lace-up Boutique 9 booties.   Get out there and take advantage of some great sales!!!

Let us know what you think of these Christian Louboutin ankle strap espadrilles.

The cage shoe, what do you think of this trend? Are you diggin this YSL boot? They look really cute on this runway model, but they don’t look very comfortable. They might be a little gross on a hot summer day! Let us know what you think.

Patrick_Cox_Shoes_featheredThis week we feature feathered shoes on the “get your kicks” page, and we want to know what you think about this trend. Do you own a pair of avian pumps? What do you think about having feathers on your feet? Is this trend fab or fowl? ;)

Miu Miu "tea cup" pumps

Miu Miu "tea cup" pumps

This week in the “Get your kicks” page we feature one of the latest and craziest trends- decorated heels. Some are beautiful, some are a bit too much, but they are all cool to look at. And most of them are very expensive.  I’ve added this last photo (Miu Miu’s “tea cup” mary jane pumps) to highlight the art and eccentricity of this new fashion trend. It cannot be denied that this shoe is pretty, it almost looks like a museum piece. Just don’t see myself wearing these to the office or even a party; actually, other than as part of a Halloween costume I can’t imagine wearing these at all. Oh, wait, maybe to a tea party? Don’t attend enough of those to spend $700 on a pair of these babies. These are an extreme looking pair of decorated heels but there are some that are quite nice and not so “look-at-me”, so what do you think? Passing trend or here to stay?
