I was in Palm Beach last week and heard about the International Polo Club Palm Beach. So I said to myself, “self, here is a great opportunity to see what the rich and famous of Palm Beach are wearing!” So I got myself spiffied up in my most appropriate duds and Chloe flats, heels and grass don’t go well together, and loaded up the camera. Unfortunately, the match was cancelled due to rain, but the VIP Nespresso tent was packed with socialites and wannabes  all wearing adorable Spring dresses and gorgeous footwear. The most popular style: wedges, the perfect combination of sexy and practical.

Yesterday I read an article in WSJ about Toms Shoes and their “One for One” campaign.

The shoes aren’t exactly what I would normally feature on ShoeSeen.com but the message is strong and the cause is good.  For every pair of  shoes the brand sells, they donate a pair to a child in need- “One for One”.  You’ve probably seen the Toms CEO Blake Mycoskie on the AT&T commercial at one of their “shoe drops” in Guatemala.  He’s the man behind the idea to create a company that gives as much as it makes.  As I said before the shoes aren’t exactly luxurious pieces of art, but they’re totally cute and comfortable, so next time you’re in the market for a pair of cute sneakers, give them a try and help make a difference in a childs life.

Latest crush: Pour La Victoire!

Just got the ‘Tarissa’ wedges from the Spring/Summer ‘10 collection and they’re spectacular! Sexy, fearless, chic and comfortable. That’s right, I said comfortable- I was as surprised as you, but after a day or so of use the leather softened and the fit was snug but not painful. I love their versatility. They went really well with my mini dress from H&M but I also wore them with tights and skinny jeans.
