Christian Siriano
Christian Siriano does it again with his Fall/Winter 2010 collection! First of all, the shoes are spectacular! According to the show notes- the inspiration came from 18th & 19th century antiques such as Louie the XVI chairs with filigree detailing or clawfoot tubs with lion's paw feet. The 'Rocaille' platform pump was the first shoe of the Fall '10 collection designed by Christian and inspired all the other styles in the line. Christian Siriano's Fall 2010 shoe line for Payless will be available in September. His Spring Summer '10 collection just hit stores last week and includes five shoe styles and two handbags, as well as a limited edition "direct-from-the-runway" capsule collection of three shoes shown on the runway last September. The "direct-from-the-runway" collection is due in very select stores and Payless.com in early March.
The Fall '10 clothes are also endlessly chic, but it was hard to look away from the shoes! For the clothes, Christian was inspired by Parisian women of the 60s who "got dressed" every day. They wore suits, coats, gloves, a beautiful bag, and signature shoes to create an effortless and romantic style. His satin suites and coats are beautifully cut to accentuate the female body and made with accessories in mind. The silk leopard printed suit is eye catching and surprisingly sexy while the satin organza cocktail dresses, in royal and fuchsia, will replace you LBD. Besides shoes, Christian's strongest are is evening gowns, and he didn't disappoint. Tulle, satin, silk and organza in fuchsia/wine royal and slate were so meticulously and artistically meshed to create floating pieces of art. The audience jumped to its feet as the final gown- an organza draped bodice and scalloped tulle gown- made it's was down the runway. Overall, Christian Siriano's Fall 2010 collection was spectacular and wearable.
